Overview:

Reporting to the Lead Engineer, the Mobile/Front End Engineer sits at the forefront of building engaging and performant DUPR features. This role collaborates closely with our product, design, and engineering teams to create seamless and delightful experiences for users across web, iOS and Android platforms.

Accountabilities:

• Lead the development of mobile front-end components and features to deliver high-quality and cross-platform mobile experiences.
• User Interface Design: Work closely with UX/UI designers to translate design concepts into interactive and visually stunning mobile app interfaces, ensuring consistency, usability, and accessibility.
• Cross-Platform Compatibility: Develop mobile applications that run smoothly on both iOS and Android devices, maximizing code reuse and minimizing platform-specific development efforts.
• Performance Optimization: Implement performance optimization techniques in applications, such as efficient rendering, lazy loading, and asynchronous data fetching, to ensure fast and responsive user experiences.
• Code Quality and Maintainability: Write clean, modular, and well-documented code following best practices and standards, and actively participate in code reviews to uphold code quality and maintainability.
• Integration with Back-End Services: Integrate mobile front-end components with back-end services and APIs, handling data fetching, state management, and synchronization to ensure seamless data flow and consistency.
• Testing and Quality Assurance: Develop and maintain automated test suites for components, including unit tests, integration tests, and end-to-end tests, to validate functionality and ensure robustness.
• Continuous Integration and Deployment: Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines for development, automating build, test, and deployment processes to streamline development workflows and facilitate timely releases.
• Technical Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Document architectures, implementation details, and development workflows, and contribute to knowledge sharing initiatives to foster collaboration and learning across teams.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
• 3-5 years of experience in front-end development, with a strong focus on mobile app development using React Native and a proven track record of delivering successful mobile applications.
• Expertise in React Native framework, including components, APIs, navigation, and state management, and proficiency in JavaScript, ES6+, and modern front-end development tools and libraries.
• Strong understanding of mobile UI/UX design principles and patterns, and experience collaborating with UX/UI designers to create intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces.
• Familiarity with mobile app performance optimization techniques, debugging tools, and platform-specific development environments (iOS, Android).
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to debug and resolve complex technical issues in React Native applications.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Comfort and experience in a small, fast-paced, and entrepreneurial work environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
