This is who we are looking for:

The R&D Engineering, New Markets group at Haartz is looking for a highly-motivated R&D Technician to join our growing team! New ideas, new technologies and new ways of thinking are driving our future!

This is what you will be doing:

Provide general support to R & D personnel specific to the items listed.

Job Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed Excel and Word documents for R&D Engineer, including, but not limited to:
    • Compiling data in Excel,
    • Basic letters to customer and Haartz Sales person regarding samples
    • Neat and accurate test result compilation in Excel or Word.
  • Work closely with Manufacturing to prepare raw materials for sample run.
  • Noticing and alerting Manufacturing regarding material issues at any stage of XP manufacture.
  • Inspect and ship materials in a timely fashion.
  • Writing up and following routine XP run through all stages of Manufacturing, independent of Engineer's supervision and summarize results to Engineer.
  • Run applicable machinery for sample evaluations.
  • Perform and critically evaluate sample materials on required pieces of laboratory equipment and accurately convey results to Engineer.
  • Maintain accurate and neat R&D raw material inventories.
  • Maintain accurate, neat notes and files for all projects on which they are working.
  • Attend local customer/supplier trials in the event that an engineer cannot attend.
  • Provide critical analysis of trials in progress and technical suggestions for improvement to engineer and/or machine operator.
  • In engineer's absence, effectively communicate the status of developmental materials to Sales, Quality, Manufacturing and other Haartz internal personnel.
  • Running test methods used by the Development Group.
  • Demonstrates understanding and independence in core areas including problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Provides training to newer technicians and others less fully trained, where applicable.

Work Schedule: Days / Monday-Friday 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM or 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM

This is what you should bring:

Associate's degree or equivalent from 2-year College or technical school, 6 months to 1-year related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
