R&D Sr. Technician (Glp Study Director)

Your role at Clorox:
As a Senior Technician in Advanced Measurement Sciences (AMS), you will lead and manage Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) studies as a GLP Study Director. You will work directly with cross functional teams to generate quality data and documentation for business critical Regulatory submissions to the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). This critical work is a key driver for delivering Cleaning Business objectives and enabling health of the $1.5 billion Cleaning Business.
In this role, you will:

• Lead and manage Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) studies, ensuring the validity, integrity and reliability of submitted data for regulatory evaluation and EPA approval
• Work directly with cross functional teams to generate quality data and documentation for business critical regulatory submissions to the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)
• Oversee the technical conduct of GLP studies; act as the point of study control for activities related to compliance, collaborating with technicians and scientists from various departments
• Ensure that all GLP regulations are communicated to study participants and are strictly observed; train and provide approvals for scientists (or others) to enter the GLP labs
• Collaboratively work with the GLP Team to maintain well organized supporting data files suitable for internal and external auditing
• Prepare batches with appropriate documentation and tracking for GLP studies; conduct testing on batches to ensure quality and generate accurate GLP data for EPA submissions
• Review analytical data and prepare final study reports, taking responsibility for accuracy and compliance
• Maintain and calibrate lab equipment at required intervals to ensure GLP compliance, ensuring the lab is a safe environment and the supplies are available

What we look for:

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or other related Science discipline, or greater than 2 years of college courses in Chemistry or other related Science discipline
• At least 1 year experience working in a laboratory with product formulation and/or analytical lab experience; 3-5 years lab experience is desired
• Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) or Good Manufacturing Process (GMP) experience preferred and/or experience working on EPA-regulated products
• Must have excellent written and oral communication skills
• Be able to act as a Project Manager of GLP studies
• Needs to have high attention to detail and excellent organizational, prioritization and decision making skills

Onsite: This position requires the individual to be onsite 5 days a week in our Pleasanton, CA office.

Your starting pay will depend on job-related factors, including relevant skills, knowledge, experience and location. The applicable salary range for every role in the U.S. is based on your work location and is aligned to one of three zones according to the cost of labor in your area.
-Zone A: $25.82 - $44.95
-Zone B: $23.65 - $41.20
