Essential Functions:
- To perform hands-on testing, characterization, product and process development of materials for Research and Development.
- Under Supervision, develops and executes test methods for applications of formulations and performs analysis on resulting outcomes.
- Prepares and tests samples, standards, and batches.
- Analyzes raw materials using Company testing methods.
- Evaluate and implement new raw materials in existing products to lower cost or provide additional benefits.
- Determines with equipment qualification and method crossover.
- Analyzes data for acceptable criteria against specification ranges and report results to laboratory management.
- Conducts laboratory investigations and recommends improvements.
- Supports team members in investigation and creation of new products.
- Conducts an analysis for existing formulations against new test criteria and project objectives.
- Documents findings and accurately reports project progress.
- Performs other related duties and projects as business needs require at direction of management.
- Works effectively in a matrix organization; meets demands from multiple internal customers.
- Negotiates requirements in a matrix organization and helps others meet goals.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Pursuing a Bachelor's, Masters or Doctorate degree in Ceramic Engineering, Materials Science or related engineering degree.
- Demonstrates and maintains a strong hands-on experience and fundamental knowledge of materials processing especially all aspects of ceramic powder processing, material testing and characterization
- Ability to utilize testing equipment such as particle size analyzer, surface area analyzer, TGA/DTA, Tensile Tester, SEM, etc., as well as troubleshoot and maintain equipment
- Familiar with batch calculation, milling, spray drying, iso-static pressing forming, and ceramic inspection.
- Proficiency with the MS Office Suite (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
Pay Range: $21.00-$33.00/hr
