We are currently seeking an entry level Engineer to play a vital role within the Connected & Smart Tech Equipment Group, under the umbrella of Global Equipment Development. In this role, you will be responsible for scouting and identifying novel technologies, as well as participating in the development, testing, and scaling of new equipment or the seamless integration of innovations into existing equipment platforms. The ideal candidate should possess knowledge and hands-on experience in AI, Machine Learning, IoT, software coding, and API integration, and have a deep understanding of commercial electronic hardware, sensors, various forms of connectivity, cloud systems, and related fields. Responsibilities- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (marketing, sales, service, procurement, IT, etc.) to ensure alignment on business requirements for New Product Introduction (NPI) projects.
- Develop comprehensive technical documentation, encompassing specifications, test plans, and test reports, to support equipment development processes.
- Work closely with suppliers to facilitate the development, testing, and qualification of new equipment in accordance with specified requirements.
- Conduct proactive scouting of innovative technologies and potential partners to address specific use case needs.
- Play a key role in creating consumer-centric cases to enhance product development strategies.
- Assess the feasibility and suitability of emerging technologies and evaluate potential startup partnerships to leverage cutting-edge solutions effectively.
- Engage with technology partners and suppliers to gain insights into their technical offerings and integrate their solutions into our equipment.
- Provide assistance in basic software coding and contribute to the development of digital equipment prototypes, such as voice interface, augmented reality, and biometrics.
- Establish evaluation plans, conduct testing, analyze test data, and effectively communicate results, along with actionable recommendations for future directions.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and advancements in equipment capabilities, and proactively recommend appropriate measures.
Compensation & Benefits:
- The expected compensation range for this position is between $66,000 - $110,550 based on a full-time schedule.
- Location, confirmed job-related skills and experience will be considered in setting actual starting salary.

- Bachelor's degree in relevant engineering disciplines, such as Computer Science/Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Information Technology, or related fields.
- Knowledge and hands-on experience in AI, Machine Learning (ML), Internet of Things (IoT), and Cloud platforms are preferred.
- Familiarity with the latest digital technologies, including hardware and IoT sensors, is desirable.
- Knowledge in coding and development using Python, React, JavaScript, C#, and Swift is preferred.
- Knowledge of various forms of connectivity and communication protocols, such as Bluetooth, NFC, WiFi, and 4G/5G, is a plus.
- Understanding of data analytics and proficiency in relevant tools.
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 15% of the time.
