About the role
Reckitt Research and Development CMS (Montvale, NJ) is seeking a self-motivated analytical chemist to join our team in the role of Assistant in the Analytical lab. The successful candidate would work independently with supervision in the lab, supporting analytical measurement for Health & Hygiene global new product development, including the Lysol, Dettol, and Harpic brands.
Key Responsibilities
• Conduct a wide range of Analytical techniques, including chromatography (LC and GC), wet Chemistry and spectroscopy to provide efficient and robust analysis of product samples.
• Contribute to the development of new products by conducting method verifications, method transfers and routine testing for stability studies.
• Manage multiple projects within established timelines and concisely communicate results to a variety of departments.
• Prepare scientific reports, technical documents, standard operating procedures, test methods and test protocols.
• Maintain instrumentation and equipment compliance.
Qualifications
• BS/BA in Chemistry or related field with 0-2 years of relevant work experience in an R&D analytical laboratory setting.
• Basic understanding of analytical Chemistry and its related technologies, such as LC, GC, FTIR, and wet chemistry techniques. Knowledge of mass spectrometry (MS) a plus.
• Strong communication skills (both written and verbal).
• Results-oriented and self-motivating, seeking information from others to accomplish objectives.
• Intellectual curiosity and proven problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work well independently and in a cross-functional team environment while remaining flexible to changing project priorities.

USD $65,000.00 - $97,000.00
US pay transparency
The base salary range for this role will vary based on experience in job and industry, training and education, skills relevant to the position, and other factors permitted by law. In addition to the base salary, the position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, which is subject to change each year.
