RCM Specialist - Poster

What Are We Looking for?

We are looking for a part time Revenue Cycle Payment Poster. Must be experienced in Revenue Cycle Management Operations. Reports to the Director of RCM.

Job Responsibilities:

• Posts Payment and adjustments to patient accounts from all insurance payers and all types of payments
• Posts all patient payments received
• Reviews all remittance advices for accuracy to identify errors or questionable data
• Researches and resolves unapplied and/or unidentified cash receipts.
• Reconciles payments and shortages for all batches
• completes daily deposit and reconciliations
• Investigates all insurance recoupments to determine if they are correct or need to be appealed.
• Reviews all accounts with negative balances to determine if a refund is due to the patient or insurance carrier
• Runs electronic deposit reports and processes payments, adjustments, and rejections, providing reconciliation and or/balancing of same
• posts rejections by insurance companies
• Manges daily payment transaction registers
• Processes all approved adjustments.
• Actively communicates with management of an identified payment trends.

Required qualifications:

• Minimum of 1+ year of experience in billing, collections, posting preferably for addictions/ behavioral health treatment center preferred.
• Knowledge of insurance guideline
• Competent use of computer systems, software, and 10 key calculators
• Familiarity with CPT, IDC-10 Coding, and ASAM criteria
• Effective communication abilities for phone contacts with insurance payers to resolve issues
• Customer service skills for interacting with patients regarding medical claims and payment, including communicating with patients and family members of diverse ages and backgrounds.
