We assist families of children and adolescents diagnosed with Autism and other related disorders overcome behavioral, social, communication and independently living skills deficits. with are professional, fast-paced and data-driven industry.

The Behavior Technician offers support to individuals and their families or school staff who have behavior related deficits. Behavior Technicians maintain a quality level of care as outlined by an individualized treamtment plan based on learning goals in the areas of: functional communication, social skills, self-help skills, play skills, and independent living skills.

  • Commitment to ongoing training and development as it relates to clinical skills, professional development, ethics, and technology, and training in order to perform job responsibilities to required standard.
  • Ability to interpret and implement clinical protocols and written.
  • Must maintain a professional appearance with regard to clothing, grooming, hair, and make-up.
  • Pass criminal background

Job Description:

  • Provide direct care in 1:1 and group settings (home, school, community, etc.)
  • Follow the prescribed behavioral skill acquisition and behavior reduction protocols
  • Collect, record, and summarize data on observable client behavior
  • Ensure documentation is completed on time and following established procedures
  • Effectively communicate with parents and caregivers regarding client progress as instructed by supervising clinician
  • Assist with parent and caregiver training in line with the client’s individualized treatment plan and behavior reduction protocols
  • Utilize safe and appropriate handling procedures when working with clients and appropriately report all critical incidents and safety concerns
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work and therapy environment
  • Maint client confidentiality
  • Assist supervising clinician with preparation of client materials, behavior reduction assessments, and skills acquisition

Basic and Physical Requirements:

  • Must be physically fit and able to bend, squat, kneel, crawl, sit, and stand for extended periods of time
  • Must be able lift (up to 50lbs) and carry clients when needed; may include use of adaptive equipment
  • Provide crisis intervention (as needed and with proper training)

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma
  • RBT certification (preferred); Required within 90 days of employment
  • Reliable transportation and be willing to travel between job sites (up to 30mi radius)
  • Valid CA Driver's License and Auto Insurance in good standing

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 20 per week
