Ray's Roofing Supply - INSIDE SALES REPRESENTATIVE – Chicago, IL

HOURLY PLUS COMMISSION

Estimated first year earnings $50-60k

Estimated second year earnings $60-70k

Here's where you come into play!

Inside Sales Representative Job Responsibilities:

  • Meet established sales and gross margin goals while ensuring customer satisfaction and representing the company with integrity and professionalism.
  • Greet all customers who enter the showroom and offer assistance.
  • Use a consultive sales process to ask good questions and recommend products and services best suited for a project.
  • Actively engage in formalized product and sales training as well as fully utilizing self-education materials.
  • Respond to leads and sales opportunities by scheduling appointments, meeting with potential customers for product demonstrations or conducting transactions via the phone.
  • Create and present quotes to clients and follow up on quotes till they reach a won or lost status.
  • Enter prospect information, quotes and orders into computer using established procedures, verifying accuracy of product, pricing, and handling instructions.
  • Gather and communicate necessary information for smooth transition of service and product delivery to post-sales team.
  • Work closely with manufacturer support, vendor representatives, purchasing agents, shop, warehouse, shipping, and service personnel to provide accurate, complete, and timely delivery of products to customers.
  • Respond to customer product inquiries, complaints, and product service needs, and follows up on messages, back orders, defective material, order entry errors, and delivery errors.
  • Participate in continuing education and training by attending sales meetings, factory tours, and trade shows.
  • Keeps track of corporate communication channels.
  • Initiates contact with new and prospective clients via telephone and outside prospecting.
  • Updates existing clients on new products or services.
  • Creates and distributes bills and invoices and records all transactions relating to client purchases.
  • Audits all client files in order to maintain accurate record-keeping.
  • Collaborates internally with multiple departments including accounting, operations, sales management and marketing.
  • Contributes information to market strategy by monitoring competitive products.
  • Perform additional duties as required or requested
  • Assist with special projects as requested and required.

Schedule:

  • Monday-Friday (7am-4pm)
  • Rotating Saturday Schedule (7am-12pm)

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Analytical skills and the ability to work with data
  • Able to build and maintain relationships with clients
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Proficient in working both independently and as part of a team
  • Experience with writing and delivering presentations to potential customers
  • Strong attention to detail

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Associate’s degree, or proven experience in a sales role with related experience as an accountant representative
  • Experience in customer service
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English)
  • Proficient in MS Office, ERP systems and CRM software
