Under the direction of the Quality Team Leader o delegate, and with the objective to maintaining high quality standards in the Raw Materials control process, maintains control of the Raw Materials submitted for evaluation, conducts inspections and recommends final disposition.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform visual and dimensional inspections using a variety of test and inspection equipment following applicable procedures to determine the material disposition.
  • Maintain control of raw material under evaluation, and after evaluation.
  • Send samples to suppliers for further evaluation as needed.
  • Notify Raw Materials nonconforming to Supplier Quality Management and support investigations.
  • Maintain control of nonconformance Raw Materials, following applicable procedures.
  • Support Plan operations in solving Raw Materials issues affecting the manufacturing process.
  • Train technicians and associates in the Raw Materials QA functions, as needed.
  • Keep records of all performed test following GPD and GMP.
  • Comply with all environmental, safety and occupational health policies (i.e., ISO 14001 & OSHAS 18001).

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree required. Science or technical field is preferred.
  • At least four(4) years of experience in the regulated manufacturing industry is required. A relevant combination of education and experience will be considered, equivalent combination is a minimum of associate degree plus at least four (4) years of experience regulated manufacturing industry.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of quality related experience is required.
  • Knowledge of QSR’s and ISO standard is required.
  • Computer systems proficiency is required.
  • Intermediate communication skills in English and Spanish is required.
