Range Safety Officer

HBC Management Services is currently seeking a dedicated and qualified Range Safety Officer (RSO-QC) to join our team.

As a Range Safety Officer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality control in our operations.

Duties

• Assist the Quality Control and Training Director in updating and maintaining training materials and methods
• Support Hana’s Quality Control Programs through periodic inspections, individualized training, and specialized training activities to enhance the quality and safety of our operations
• Train pre-employment candidates in entry-level firearms skills
• Ensure all PSO candidates are properly firearms trained in compliance with contract requirements and HBC standards
• Maintain accurate accountability of firearms and ammunition, ensuring safe practices in transportation, inventory control, and safety training
• Coordinate training supplies and equipment, and promote workplace safety while maintaining trainer qualifications.

• Maryland State Police Qualified Handgun Instructor License
• Maryland State Police certified Instructor
• NRA Law Enforcement Firearms Instructor
• Firearms Range Safety Officer Instructor
• Current U.S. Government/DoD Secret Security Clearance or ability to obtain required security clearance or suitability
• Minimum of two (2) years of successful experience in training (civilian community law enforcement, military service law enforcement, or commercial/industrial security force service)
• Certified Instructor in Basic Firearms Training through an approved and accredited Principles of Instruction course or similar training (e.g., NRA Law Enforcement course, Police Academy, State POST Academy, or military training course)
• Ability to pass medical, drug, and psychological screenings
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite, especially in PowerPoint and media presentations
• Acceptance of your resume by the customer for the position
• Ability to meet all pre-employment requisites of the contract.
