Position: Radiology Technologist
Location 8915 W. Connell Ct. Milwaukee WI 53226
Shift: Full-Time options:
9:30am - 7:00pm, Wednesday - Tuesday (no on-call)
8:00am - 4:30pm, Wednesday - Tuesday (no on-call)
8:30pm - 7:00am and weekends 11pm - 9:30am with schedule Wednesday - Tuesday (no on-call)
Pay: Pay depends on experience between $27.90 - $38 plus benefits.
Position Requirements:
- Certification: ARRT, CPR/BLS
- License: Wisconsin State License as a Rad Tech
- Experience: 1 year of experience preferred but open to new grads that have clinical experience in pediatrics
- Education: Completion of Rad Tech Degree program
Position Summary:
Performs Radiographic procedures using mobile as well as stationary equipment in the following areas; General Diagnostics, Fluoroscopy, Mobile Radiography on inpatient units, Emergency Radiography, mobile Radiographic and Fluoroscopic procedures in the Operating Room
Understands and satisfies the needs of the neonatal, pediatric, adolescent and adult patient in regards to their growth and development process.
Performs simple and complex radiographic procedures within the hospital by proper application of the required imaging and ancillary equipment with minimal supervision.
Determines appropriate sequence to conduct multiple procedures. Prepares patient for radiographers by transporting patient between rooms.
Practices radiation protection by current calculating exposure factors, utilizing beam limiting devices, protective apparel and immobilization devices.
Calculates and selects proper technical factors and film sizes, based on patient’s age physical conditions, suspected pathology.
Ensures films are properly identified with correct patient identification and lead markers, assures requisition is properly completed with date, time, tech initials, number of films and clinical history.
Assist Radiologist in performance of examinations, prepares contrast media, position patients.
Accurately performs examinations using stationary and mobile radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment in the Radiology
Department, Emergency Room, surgical suite or other designated areas of the hospital.
Performs variety of related clerical tasks including, but not limited to retrieving films, hanging films, answering phones, scheduling examinations.
Maintains work area in a clean and orderly condition and ensures same is properly supplied for diagnostic procedures. Ensures sterile supplies are not damaged or expired.
Ensures proper function of suction machines and oxygen outlets in work area.
Orients and trains new staff members in department procedures and equipment.
Provides instruction to radiography students approved for such training.
