Provides imaging services to the patients served: Infant, Pediatrics, Adolescent, Adult, Geriatric.
This position requires competency in patient assessment, treatment, and/or care for the age groups indicated. Employee must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skill necessary to provide care based on physical, psychosocial, educational, safety, and related criteria, appropriate to the age of the patients served. Performs various CAT SCAN Studies w/wo contrast, Bone Density Scans, C-ARM/OR Procedures, Preparation and administration of contrast material (IV, Oral, Rectal, Pressure Injector) under the supervision of a physician according to established approved protocols specific to exams being performed. Performs venous punctures for the purpose of establishing IV access for contrast administration. Complies with state and federal regulations regarding radiation safety and radiation exposure.
Requirements
Experience: Six months or greater experience preferred. Previous experience in performing radiographic and diagnostic radiology exams preferred.
Education: La. State License for Radiologic Technologist.
Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification
Special Qualifications: BLS (CPR) Certification.
