JOB TITLE: Radiologic Technologist (Registered/Non-Registered) DEPARTMENT: Radiology
JOB RELATIONSHIPS

Interrelationships: Work cooperatively with supervisor, hospital departments, medical staff, patients, and families.
JOB SUMMARY:
To carry out orders given to complete the necessary radiology work ordered by physicians/providers and to keep informed as to new ideas for improving work methods and procedures. Will perform EKG's as ordered by physicians/providers. Will follow the policies, procedures, standards, and objectives set up by supervisor/administrator. Required call rotation of one weekend a month and one night a week.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience: Previous experience is preferred but not necessary.
Education: Must be a high school graduate with a degree in radiologic technology preferred.
Req. Cert./Reg: Licensed in the state of Kansas LRT, CPR Certification, ARRT Certified unless covered in the
Grandfather Clause of Radiology. Additional certified modalities are beneficial.

JOB DUTIES: (This list may not include all of the duties assigned.)
- Assist in checking daily charges through EMR.
- Keep the daily log of x-ray/EKG procedures and unit count book.
- Perform EKGs and Holter monitors.
- Collaborate in scheduling all modalities of radiology, including CTs, ultrasound, nuclear med., mammograms, MRIs, etc.
- Maintain adequate filing system, including transfers, and documenting in log book x-rays sent out and to whom, when, and where.
- Responsible for having patients fill out the necessary paperwork needed for their exam.
- Assist radiology supervisor in additional duties when instructed, such as QA, ordering of supplies, inventory control, etc.
- Performs radiologic exams.
- Obtains patient history, answers patient questions, and explains procedures.
- Operates equipment as directed.
- Maintains orderliness and cleanliness of work area.
- Transports patients to radiographic room; prepares and maintains room.
- If registered, maintain an active license in the state of Kansas, and complete required CEUs to maintain registered status.
