We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Consulting Radiology Technician for the Night Shift in our state-of-the-art medical facility. This exciting role is a key part of our healthcare team, providing critical diagnostic information to support patient care. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge radiology and medical imaging technology, and contribute significantly to the overall health and wellbeing of our patients.
Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain radiology equipment to produce high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.
- Ensure patient safety by adhering strictly to radiation safety protocols and guidelines.
- Provide exceptional patient care, ensuring patients are comfortable and informed throughout their procedure.
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to interpret imaging results and determine the most appropriate course of treatment.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including imaging results and patient history.
- Assist in the training and development of junior staff and students in radiologic technology.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in radiology and medical imaging technology.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of our radiology department.
- Conduct X-ray production and radiographic positioning in accordance with best practice guidelines.
- Utilize medical terminology knowledge to effectively communicate with healthcare team members.
Qualifications:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field.
- Current registration as a Radiologic Technologist, or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role.
- Proficient in a range of imaging procedures, including X-ray production and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI).
- Excellent knowledge of radiation safety and patient care standards.
- Strong technical skills with the ability to operate and troubleshoot radiology equipment.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to explain complex procedures to patients and families.
- Detail-oriented, with strong organizational and record-keeping abilities.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development in the field of radiology and medical imaging.
- Ability to work Night Shifts and adapt to changing work schedules.
