B. EXPERIENCE:
- Performs a variety of radiologic procedures.
- Provides patient care during procedures.
II. TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Essential: standing, walking, finger dexterity, seeing, hearing, speaking; lifting usual weight of 50 pounds; pushing/pulling usual weight of 50 pounds of force; carrying usual weight of 20 pounds.
- Continuous: stooping/bending; reaching above and below shoulder level, frequent gripping of an object, pushing/pulling usual weight up to 50 pounds.
- Frequent: twisting body, lifting usual weight with assistance up to 50 pounds; carrying up to 40 pounds; reaching at shoulders, repetitive arm/hand motions, static gripping of an object for prolonged periods of time.
- Occasional: sitting, kneeling, crawling, climbing stairs, walking on uneven ground, squatting.
- Operates x-ray equipment, computer and printer, fax machine, surgical supplies and equipment, film cassettes, film processors.
III. TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Exposed to both inside and outside environmental conditions; cold temperatures due to the air conditioning.
- Subjected to noise/vibration from film processors.
- Exposure to communicable diseases, body fluids, mechanical/electrical units, chemicals and radiation.
- Work Environment is fast-paced and high-stress due to patient census.
IV. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
A. EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE:
- Hawaii State license as a Radiologic Technologist, or eligible to obtain before date of hire.
- Current BLS/HCP certification.
B. EXPERIENCE:
- One (1) year experience in an acute care facility.
