Job Summary
Radiologic Surgery Technologists play a crucial role in supporting minimally invasive and complex surgical procedures. They operate sophisticated imaging equipment, including advanced C-arms and intraoperative CT scanners, to capture real-time, high-resolution images during surgery. These images provide surgeons with precise anatomical details, enabling them to navigate procedures with greater accuracy and efficiency.
Beyond operating the equipment, Radiologic Surgery Technologists work closely with the surgical team to:
- Prepare imaging equipment according to specific procedures.
- Position patients comfortably and safely for optimal image acquisition.
- Monitor patient well-being throughout imaging and report any concerns to the team.
- Adhere to strict radiation safety protocols to minimize exposure to patients and staff.
- Maintain accurate documentation of procedures and imaging parameters.
This demanding role requires strong technical skills, a keen eye for detail, and excellent communication and collaboration abilities. Radiologic Surgery Technologists contribute significantly to successful surgical outcomes and the well-being of patients undergoing complex procedures.
Education and/or Experience
- Associate's degree or a certificate of completion from an accredited School of Radiology is required.
- One to two years related experience in Surgery is preferred.
Certification/Licensure/Registrations
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registration is required within 60 days of receiving a certificate of completion from an accredited School of Radiology.
Work Schedule
- Ability to work various shifts as scheduled, 8-10 hour shifts
- Position may be eligible for a $10,000 Sign on Bonus
Pay
The hourly range for this position is listed below. The actual hourly rate is dependent upon experience.
- $26.25 - $39.50 per hour
