Job Summary and Qualifications
The Radiology Practitioner Assistant is a registered nurse who is responsible for the delivery and management of age specific care utilizing the nursing process and adhering to the standards of nursing practice. She/he will provide care to all age groups undergoing radiology procedures.
- Pre-procedural assessment and administration of conscious sedation
- Hemodynamic monitoring during diagnostic interventional procedures, and post-procedural recovery and teaching.
- Responsible and accountable for the overall nursing care management of a designated group of patients.
- Practice collaboratively with physicians, nurses and other disciplines.
What qualifications you will need:
- Registered Nurse
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing, one year nursing experience in a radiology department
- Radiology interventional experience strongly preferred. PALS certification.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
