Performs and obtains high quality radiographs on all patients (i.e. In-Patients, Emergency Room Patients or Private Out Patients); recognizes the need for and utilizes lead shielding where appropriate in accordance with departmental policies. Develops all X-rays when required. Provides patient comfort (e.g., bedpans, blankets) as required. Performs required clerical work when necessary to maintain patient records. Maintains a clean and orderly environment to include Radiology Room, Radiology Equipment, and Radiology Accessories. Informs appropriate personnel when equipment is in need of repair.

Skills:
- Proficiency in medical terminology and understanding of anatomy and physiology.
- Experience with various medical imaging techniques, including X-ray, sonography, PET scan, and mammography.
- Knowledge of diagnostic evaluation and interpretation of imaging results.
- Ability to operate and troubleshoot imaging equipment effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established protocols for positioning patients.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with patients and healthcare professionals.

Qualifications:
- Completion of approved course of study
- At least one (1) year of experience as an X-Ray Technician
- New York State License as X-Ray Technician (Legally Required)
- Completion of approved course of study in Radiology/X-Ray (Required)
- Computer Literate (Required)
