Banner MD Anderson Cancer Center - Department of Radiation Oncology 
Location: Loveland/Greeley, CO (one hour outside of Denver, CO) 
The Department of Radiation Oncology is actively recruiting a Radiation Oncology Manager to join our team at Banner MD Anderson Cancer Center in the Northern Colorado area. This unique candidate will join a national leader in multidisciplinary cancer care, education, and discovery.

The Division of Radiation Oncology currently includes 24 clinicians who provide outstanding care for patients with all types of malignancies. Designed with experts from The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, the center has an evidence-based design and state-of-the-art technologies including IMRT, SBRT, SRS, and HDR Brachytherapy.

The Banner MD Anderson Cancer Center Radiation Oncology Department in Northern Colorado features: 
•    Two centers in Loveland and Greeley with one TrueBeam at each facility 
•    CT simulators and HDR Brachytherapy at each location 
•    3 Full-time Radiation Oncologists 
•    2 Full-time Physicists 
•    Raystation - Treatment planning system 
•    Busy GYN and Prostate HDR program with newly built HDR suite 
•    Treats 1000 patients per year 
•    Able to provide SRS, SBRT, IMRT services 
•    Weekly chart rounds with Banner MD Anderson in AZ and MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston

Banner McKee Medical Center is a 132-bed, acute-care hospital in Loveland, Colo., a vibrant arts community located 40 minutes from Rocky Mountain National Park. Our hospital offers an array of inpatient and outpatient services including medical, obstetrical, pediatric, orthopedic, surgical, heart, cancer, and critical care. The Banner McKee Cancer Center and Banner McKee Breast Center are among Northern Colorado''s leading cancer diagnosis and treatment facilities. Banner McKee is also a Level III trauma center. We are the only hospital in the Rocky Mountain region to be designated an Epicenter for robotic-assisted gynecological surgery by Intuitive Surgical, the manufacturer of the daVinci surgical robot. Our physicians, nurses and other health care professionals can train on state-of-the-art computerized patient simulation mannequins in our simulation center. POSITION SUMMARY
This position plans for adequate resource management in relation to equipment, instrumentation and supplies for a specific imaging specialty. Supervises staff and serves as a clinical resource to staff, providers, providers' office staff, vendors and other departments. Effectively coordinates specialty care within Imaging. Simulate and deliver prescribed planned course of radiation therapy as directed by following department/facility policies, procedures and protocols. This position ensures optimal care/treatment to patient population.
CORE FUNCTIONS
1. Interviews, selects and hires qualified department staff that can make a significant contribution. Conducts performance management sessions according to policies and guidelines. Demonstrates effective communication skills, problems solving, and conflict resolution in the management of the assigned clinical service lines, keeping the appropriate people informed.
2. Plans care for patients in the specific modality by managing the daily schedule for maximum throughput and ensuring adequate staff are available for the shift. Works with specialty providers and providers' offices in regard to coordinating resources. Collaborates with various departments, outside vendors, and other departments to assure adequate resources and the proper coordination of safe, efficient patient care.
3. Serves as a specialty resource to patient, families, providers, providers' offices and various internal departments (i.e. operating room staff, ED, nursing floors, etc) in interpreting department, facility and system policies, and facilitating medical care. Seen as the clinical expert in the specific specialties.
4. Collaborates with leadership in the development, interpretation, implementation and evaluation of goals/objectives, and quality management activities within the clinical service lines. Manages staff adherence to department quality assurance practices and identifies clinical environmental needs and appropriate follow-up action to address them.
5. Prioritizes and plans for specialty resources, working with the Northern Colorado department management team to meet financial goals. Responsible for maintaining accurate charge capture and treatment documentation.
6. May perform all functions of a Radiation Therapist by following and verifying providers’ orders. Uses independent judgment and applies learned methodologies according to established policy and procedures.
7. Accountable for the ethical, legal, and professional responsibilities related to Radiation Oncology practice. This includes maintaining confidentiality of all work information. Adheres to safety policies. Maintains departmental policies, guidelines and procedures.
8. Accountable for efficient operation of workflow of the department. Monitors and maintains an adequate inventory of supplies and material to ensure non-interruption of services.
9. This position functions within the Radiation Oncology department of the assigned facility. Provides over sight regarding department budget and operations and participates on committees as assigned. Internal customers: All levels of Radiation Oncology and nursing management and staff, medical staff, students and all other members of the interdisciplinary health care team. External Customers: regulatory and health agencies, patients and family members.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Certificate or diploma from an approved/accredited Radiation Therapy program or equivalent.
Requires national certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and licensure by the state regulatory agency if applicable. BLS certification required.
This position requires clinical knowledge typically achieved with 3-5 years of experience relevant to patient population. Must demonstrate effective communication skills, human relations skills, analyze data and solve problems.
