This convenient, eco-friendly alternative to driving has the potential to make streets safer and cities more livable.
About the RoleIn this role, you will work with different generations of radars, implement DSP algorithms, and evaluate radar performance in lab environments, structured tests, and real-life critical scenarios. This involves prototyping algorithms, developing radar-specific eval frameworks, designing experiments and tests, and simulating various aspects of the DSP pipeline. You will be involved in implementing and integrating necessary algorithms and tools into existing C++/Python frameworks. You will also be working closely with the perception team on identifying challenges and opportunities in utilizing radar in the AV stack.
About the Work- Design eval algorithms, experiments, simulation frameworks, and perform analysis of radar performance in various scenarios.
- Develop and maintain various aspects of the radar evaluation framework.
- Prototype and implement DSP algorithms as required for various radar-perception use-cases.
- Tune algorithms and parameters to make optimal tradeoffs between precision and recall.
- Contribute to the evaluation and selection of future generations of radar.
- Bachelors, Masters or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Experimental Physics, or a related field.
- Experience working with radars and radar processing algorithms, e.g. CFAR, MIMO multiplexing, angle-of-arrival estimation.
- Experience with DSP and numerical analysis, such as Fourier transforms, optimization.
- Good computer science fundamentals: data structures, algorithm design, problem solving, good coding style, and debugging skills.
- Advanced C++ programming skills.
- Experience with rapid numerical prototyping, e.g. in Python.
- Experience with radar-perception and sensor fusion.
- Experience with radar trackers and radar-based ML models.
- Experience with high frequency antenna design fundamentals.
