Key responsibilities of this role include:
- Guide the patient through the imaging process safely and comfortably
- Arranges patients for radiological examinations
- Produces radiographs (x-rays) to aid in the diagnosis of medical problems
- Prevents patient from being exposed to unnecessary radiation
- Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job
- Willingness to cross-train in all areas of the clinic, learn phlebotomy and lab
- Perform venipuncture and in-house lab tests
- Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures with 0-2 years of experience.
- Work under immediate supervision
- Typically reports to a chief technologist or manager
- Will also perform MA duties
Key qualifications for consideration:
- Graduate from Accredited Radiology program
- Prefer Associates degree in Radiologic Sciences
- AR LLRT required; AART preferred
- Current BLS certification through American Heart Association or within 90 days of hire
