Job description

Jacksonville Orthopaedic Institute is in search of a full-time, Radiologic Technologist to work at the Beaches location.
This position is full-time with benefits including medical, dental, vision, life, disability insurance, and a 401K retirement plan.
Schedule: Monday - Friday
Location: 11577 Roberts Drive, Suite 225, Jacksonville Beach, FL 32250
The Rad Tech is Responsible for obtaining radiologic images, which are used by the physician to determine diagnosis for their patient.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate radiographic equipment to the specific protocols of JOI physicians.
  • Adjust/set the radiographic controls to prescribed specifications for proper timing of exposure.
  • Regulate the length and intensity of the film.
  • Properly position patient for X-rays of body parts ordered by the JOI physician.
  • Review each X-ray for the clarity of the image and retake any X-rays which do not meet the approved standard.
  • Responsible for the preparation of the film development process.
  • Perform routine maintenance and schedule other maintenance of the X-ray equipment.
  • Properly screen and warn all patients of the potential exposure to radiation prior to any patient entering the X-ray room.
  • Adhere to all JOI policies related to HIPPA, infection control, quality assurance, documentation, equipment cleaning, and ordering of supplies.
Position Requirements
  • Associate’s degree/Bachelor’s degree.
  • CPR-Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation.
  • Certified and Licensed as an X-Ray Technician.
  • Certification Program or Equivalent BS degree.
  • Must have the ability to set up and operate radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment.
  • Computer proficient.
