Crystal Tree Golf & Country Club is seeking a dynamic and experienced Tennis & Pickleball Instructor to join our team. As an instructor, you will be responsible for providing high-quality instruction and guidance to individuals and groups of all ages and skill levels in both tennis and pickleball. The ideal candidate should possess a passion for teaching, excellent communication skills, and a strong understanding of both sports.
Requirements:- Develop and implement lesson plans tailored to the needs and skill levels of individual students and groups
- Provide engaging and effective instruction in both tennis and pickleball techniques, strategies, and game play
- Conduct group clinics, private lessons, and workshops to improve participants' skills and knowledge of the sports
- Assess the progress of students regularly and provide constructive feedback to help them achieve their goals
- Ensure a safe and positive learning environment for all participants, adhering to safety guidelines and best practices
- Promote sportsmanship, teamwork, and fair play among students, fostering a supportive and inclusive atmosphere
- Collaborate with Golf Professional & Aquatics Manager to coordinate summer Junior Sports Programming
- Assist with organizing and running tournaments, leagues, and special events related to tennis and pickleball
- Stay informed about current trends, techniques, and developments in both sports through professional development opportunities and research
- Maintain accurate records related to Member billing for private lessons, group lessons and clinics
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience teaching tennis and/or pickleball, preferably in a Private Country Club setting
- Certification from a recognized tennis and/or pickleball association (e.g., PTR, USPTA, USAPA) is highly desirable
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate and interact with diverse groups of people
- Passion for tennis and pickleball, with a commitment to promoting the benefits of physical activity and sportsmanship
- Ability to adapt teaching strategies to accommodate different learning styles and abilities
- Demonstrated proficiency in both singles and doubles play in tennis, as well as in pickleball
- Knowledge of equipment, court etiquette, rules, and safety protocols for both sports
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed to accommodate the scheduling needs of Club Members
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hiring)
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, or related field is a plus
