We create quality products in a safe work environment. Waterloo KPR produces fully cooked, ready-to-eat products, and operates seven days a week. This is a 2nd Shift position with a dynamic schedule that can require work and or training on other shifts. The general work schedule is 5 days a week, 1:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. The base rate of pay is ***/hour, plus a shift premium of ***/hour. Team members must be willing to work overtime and weekends. This position is also eligible for overtime pay. Job Responsibilities: Performs high-level machine and systems troubleshooting and repairAssists engineering and plant team members with the specification, installation, and modification of integrated systemsProvides technical support for all phases of the operationAll team members are responsible for safety, including but not limited to, personal safety and food safetyComplies with all company and USDA policies/guidelines and reports known or suspected violationsAttends monthly and annual required training (e.g., Safety, HACCP, HR topics, LOTO, PIT)Performs other duties, as assignedJob Requirements:High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required. Training beyond High School including either an Associate s Degree (AS) in Electronics Technology (or closely related technical field), or a combination of education and experience that can include skilled trades programs or military training. Certifications in any technical field or techniques is a plusAt least four (4) years of automation experience and/or industrial maintenance experienceRequires proficiency in multiple skill clusters including electricity and electronics, fluid power, mechanical systems, and manufacturing processesBasic computer skills to navigate systems and perform data entryMust have strong skills in document organization, the use of technical materials, and research techniquesAbility to read, understand, and interpret product specifications Must either be proficient or become proficient in SAP MaintenanceAbility to perform accurate calculations by performing addition, subtraction, multiplication, and divisionAccountable to self and to othersAbility to work professionally and respectfully with others while demonstrating positive interpersonal skills, and communicates effectively with all team members and managementStrong attention to detail, accuracy, and thoroughnessAbility to identify, act with a sense of urgency, and resolve problems/inconsistencies, getting help from management or others, as neededAbility to report to work as scheduled and work scheduled hours to meet job expectations, have flexibility to work other jobs, as needed, and work weekends and overtime, as neededAbility to work in an environment where extreme temperatures range seasonally from hot/warm (i.e., 80-90 F) to cold (i.e., 20-40 F), where conditions may be damp and/or wet, and concrete floors may be slippery in some areasAbility to climb up and down stairs/ladders to get to/from work areas, and work at elevated levels of various heights and in confined spaces, if neededRequires standing, walking, bending, stooping, twisting, stretching, climbing, pushing, pulling, and reaching above, across, and below, and at shoulder levelAbility to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. below waist, at waist level, and above shoulder level Ability to perform repetitive motions, flex/grip with wrists/hands, and use tools (e.g., box knife, metal scraper)Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE), including hard hat, safety glasses, ear protection (plugs or muffs), hair net / beard guard, steel-toed boots, and glovesThis role does not offer sponsorship.
