Quantity Engineer (Cost Engineer)

Job Description

Leland Saylor Associates (LSA) has an opportunity for a Quantity Engineer (Cost Engineer) to join our team to work on high profile, $20 million to $1 billion programs supporting the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority. Experience with heavy civil/rail and highway work is required. The expectation is full-time support in-person at LA Metro's offices.

Daily Duties

• Monitor contractor work progress reports on a daily basis.
• Track quantities of work items on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
• Provide detailed spreadsheets of quantity tracking and production tracking.
• Provide Resident Engineer and Structures Representative with monthly quantity reports of installed work.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Engineering and/or Construction Management or related field.
• 5+ years of related experience supporting heavy civil projects (transportation, roads, rail, bridges, dams, pipelines, and so on).
• Excellent MS Excel and additional MS Office Suite skills.
• Cal-OSHA/OSHA 30-Hour Certification
• Prior experience working with LACMTA is strongly preferred
• Valid California Class C driver's license
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with architects, engineers, and owners.
