Leland Saylor Associates (LSA) has an opportunity for a Quantity Engineer (Cost Engineer) to join our team to work on high profile, $20 million to $1 billion programs supporting the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority. Experience with heavy civil/rail and highway work is required. The expectation is full-time support in-person at LA Metro's offices.
Daily Duties
- Monitor contractor work progress reports on a daily basis.
- Track quantities of work items on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
- Provide detailed spreadsheets of quantity tracking and production tracking.
- Provide Resident Engineer and Structures Representative with monthly quantity reports of installed work.
Qualifications
- B.S. in Engineering and/or Construction Management or related field.
- 5+ years of related experience supporting heavy civil projects (transportation, roads, rail, bridges, dams, pipelines, and so on).
- Excellent MS Excel and additional MS Office Suite skills.
- Cal-OSHA/OSHA 30-Hour Certification
- Prior experience working with LACMTA is strongly preferred
- Valid California Class C driver's license
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with architects, engineers, and owners.
