Description:
Virtu’s technology team is looking for a passionate developer to support our ever-expanding infrastructure and trading efforts. The developer for this role will join a small group of technologists whose primary function is supporting the efforts of Virtu’s Quantitative Strategists and Traders working on the Fixed Income trading desk. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a fast-growing trading desk in a leading firm.
In this role, you will be responsible for the development, ownership and maintenance of our research platform for Fixed Income products at Virtu. You will play a critical role in building out the infrastructure to allow our traders and quants to research their ideas and play a large part in helping to translate their research ideas into impactful trading strategies. We mostly use C++, Python, and Rust with a variety of open-source tools along with proprietary solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Architect and implement robust data pipelines for both research and live trading
- Add new features to our simulator as required and ensure that it is always maximally useful for our researchers.
- Proactively engage with our quants and traders to help identify and execute requirements
- Support and maintain an engineering standard of excellence within the team
- Generally, enable a well-understood path from a quant’s idea to its realization in live trading.
