Quality/ISO Technician - Premier PV

POSITION SUMMARY:

The QC/ISO Tech will inspect,document and verify quality of equipment intended for use on photo voltaic projects. This position will act as a quality control/gate with attention to detail in various products including assemblies and manufactured parts. Product designs will be specific to electrical equipment and assemblies. The ideal candidate possesses a strong technical background, quality knowledge, the ability to effectively communicate, and has great attention to detail. Must be a self-starter and critical thinker. Review manufacturing operations to ensure product design and manufactured equipment meets specifications. Provide estimating support as needed.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform thorough inspections to identify defects and variations from established standards.
• Documenting of non conformances and conformance issues.
• Validates quality processes, measures production standards at critical control points and document findings.
• Ensure products shipped comply with customer specification and quality requirements.
• Assist in internal audits as required.
• Preform measurement gauge calibrations.
• Interpret technical drawings and product information data sheets.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• 2+ years doing inspection work in an ISO:9001 manufacturing environment.
• Basic knowledge of electrical systems and their components preferred.
• Proven written and verbal communication abilities.
• Demonstrated interpersonal skills.
• Ability to read, understand and interpret, drawings, specifications, scopes of work and project schedules.
• Experience in Microsoft Office Suite is required.
