Position: Quality Technician lll
Location: Hickory, NC
Wage: $25.51/hour
Shift: 12-hour shifts; days or nights
To be considered for the Quality Tech lll position, Tech I & II responsibilities and proficiencies must be demonstrated.
While reporting to the Quality Manager as the Quality Tech lll, you will be responsible for performing specific functions outlined below.
- Participates actively in Safety
- Participates in SPS - Support pillar projects and be a resource for pillars - Support/ Lead CAPA sub pillar - Support 5 why sub-pillar - Conduct SPS layered audits, follow up on deficiencies
- Review Quality data, suggest spec changes based on historical data
- New art Color Standards (as required by customer)
- Customer Shingles/samples (as required by customer)
- Keep scrap report current and notify management of large events
- Maintain HOLD area in clean and controlled conditions
- Conduct pouch audits
- Trace work (mock recall assistance, investigation trace, etc.)
- COA creation and distribution
- investigate issues, current Q issues on jobs running, customer and supplier complaints
- Lab equipment in calibration - lab equipment calibrations on a set frequency - Communication with the outside company to calibrate and supply cal certs
- Capable of performing successful microscopy investigation
- Enter CARS in Agile and support investigation
- Support SCAR investigations
- Train new lab techs on lab SOP's
We'd love to hear from you if:
- Two-year Associate degree in a science or manufacturing field, bachelor preferred
- Previous Quality experience in a manufacturing environment • Must maintain a remarkably close attention to detail in all aspects of a quality-driven
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds •
- HACCP certification within 6 months (paid for by Sonoco
