Job Description
SUMMARY
Responsible for reviewing, validating, and auditing products, materials, procedures, processes, forms, and records Pre/Post Manufacturing to verify they meet Aerospace Quality Standards and Customer expectations.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Familiarity with manufacturing principles, inspection techniques, and various typical/precision measuring devices and equipment (i.e. Scales, Rules, Calipers, Micrometers, CMMs, etc.)
- Reads and interprets and reviews blueprints and specifications, including industrial, customer and vendor specifications and requirements
- Manages and performs First Article Inspection (FAI) IAW AS9102 & company procedures
- Performs in-process and final inspection activities
- Performs back-up Receiving Inspection activities
- Manages travel cards by;
- Creating new and revising/updating existing travel Cards
- Reviewing and verifying Product Travel Cards records (Work Orders)
- Reviewing and validating Product/Experimental Authorizations (PA/XA) and deviations
- Manages Employee Inspection Certified Operator (CO) Program by:
- Maintaining/updating CO Functions
- Documenting Internal Escapes
- Training COs
- Back-up inspector when COs are not available
- Performs Age Life Verification Training
- Maintains Quality Assurance (QA) Stamp log
- Maintains Quality Assurance Change Document (QACD) log
- Review and verify Autoclave Cure log and other records/logs
- Maintains Quality and FOD Training records
- Verify inspection templates
- Performs Internal and Process audits
- Assist in Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA)
- Assist Training technicians and inspectors
- Performs other related duties as required
SUPERVISION RECEIVED
Acts independently to determine methods and procedures on new assignments and may supervise the activities of other nonexempt personnel.
JOB COMPLEXITY
Works on assignments that are complex in nature where considerable judgment and initiative are required in resolving problems and making recommendations.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; and/or at least six years related experience and/or training.
Preferred Aerospace Manufacturing and or Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) experience.
