Crest Coating, Inc. is seeking a full-time Quality/Technical Assistant to join our team. Crest Coating Inc. is a nationally recognized premier coating expert with a proud 50-year history. Position Summary:Primarily responsible for assuring production quality meets the stated expectations of the customer, as well as Crest Coating's own criteria. Assists Technical Department on process improvements and development.
Position Responsibilities:
- Monitors in-process production, inspection (visual), cure checks, thickness measurements, etc.
- Writes rework reports and corrective actions, assists in ongoing work order development and quality related record keeping.
- Physically inspects and recommends disposition of returned goods and selected incoming products.
- Assists production in quality related functions.
- Assists in the development of test methods and techniques related to quality procedures, including process/report writing.
- Performs QC audits on finished goods & quality control documents, including job duties of line inspectors.
- Ensures written inspection procedures are followed.
- Responsible for maintaining Quality Lab and associated MRB areas.
- Supports tool calibration maintenance.
- Responsible for initial supplier communication with regards to quality related issues.
- Verifies/monitors work order accuracy.
- Perform evaluation and testing of new coating technologies.
- Research, collect data, perform investigations, and provide evidence on various processes/controls.
- Assists in the completion of customer quality reports.
- Assist in regulatory requirements including data gathering, process development, and reporting.
- Assist with company robotics equipment including development, maintenance, programming, and deployment.
- Able to fill in/support other quality positions as needed.
Essential skills and experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2 years experience in related field
- Advanced training in quality control/assurance
- Proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint
- Highly reliable and organized
- English and Spanish Fluency
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to lift 25 pounds
- Computer literate
- Experience with measuring tools
Experience with ISO 9001, CAD/3D Drafting, programming, a PLUS
