Job Description:
Reporting to the Manufacturing Engineer, the successful candidate will be responsible for executing various tasks required by the Quality Management System (QMS). Support the company goals of Zero Defects and 100% On-Time Delivery in a cost-efficient manner.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct daily process and product inspections in manufacturing.
- Coordinate containment of products from manufacturing as needed.
- Inspect and disposition parts from the hold area as directed
- Perform calibrations and verifications
- Distribute gages and visual standards to the production area
- Demonstrate proper use of quality tools and gages to production employees
- Receiving Inspection of supplied components and outsourced parts
- Record data in quality reports/logs as directed
- Assist Quality Supervisor with special projects, as needed
- Visit customer sites periodically to evaluate product and report findings
- Maintain a clean and organized work area; follow daily housekeeping and 5S standards
- Promote and maintain a culture and attitude of continuous improvement, working within the company team to make it more efficient, safety and an enjoyable place to work
Requirements
Qualifications and Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of Quality related experience required; a suitable combination of education and experience will also be considered
- Certified Quality Technician (CQT) or Certified Quality Inspector (CQI) certification a plus
- Flexibility to support on off shifts

- Strong print reading skills, understanding of GD&T a plus
- Proficient in various precision measuring tools, optical comparator a plus
- Microsoft Office experience (Word, Outlook, Excel)
Experience in the following areas is preferred:
- Experience with Corrective Actions
- ERP/MRP Experience
- Plastics manufacturing
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to differentiate color compared to visual standard.
- The noise level in our work environment is moderate.
- Safety glasses, hearing protection and closed-toe shoes must be worn on the production floor.
- Some travel, mostly local, is occasionally required.
