Job Title:Quality Receiving Inspector

Position Summary
Perform receiving inspections of new and processed products. Experienced in electronic assembly and hand soldering of standard mil-spec and high-stranded wire cable assemblies, connectors, wired enclosures, and interconnect devices for military and or aerospace applications.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform mechanical receiving inspection of purchased and in-house machined and fabricated parts, castings and assemblies.
- Assuring compliance of product received from suppliers to contractual requirements by reading and interpreting Purchase Orders note, Quality Assurance Provisions (QAPs), Blueprints, Catalog sheets and Military Specifications.
- Ensure proper documentation is received from the supplier as specified by the Purchase Order requirements (such as C of C’s, Chemical and Physical Certifications, FAI’s, etc.)
- Process Date Sensitive Materials in accordance with current Company procedures.
- Monitor and execute Test and Measuring Equipment Calibration Policy and Procedures.
- Must have the ability to read and interpret drawings based on geometric dimension and tolerance practices per ASME Y14.5M.
- Read and interpret, parts lists, Bill of Materials, wire schematics, manufacturing instructions, workmanship standards, process and test specifications
- Perform First Articles per AS9102
- Compile special material data packages when required by our customers,
- Write Non-Conforming Material Reports and Supplier Cause / Corrective Action Reports
- Move non-compliance parts to MRB and follow up with supplier
- Attention to Detail and Accuracy
- Able to help in shipping/Receiving as needed.
Education/ Qualifications
- High School or GED
- A minimum of two (3) years’ experience with inspecting and/or working with connectors, electric cables and harnesses.
- possess a current working knowledge and understanding of a quality system and practices that are based only on ISO 9001:2008 and AS9100C requirements.
- Knowledge of quality practices and compliance with specifications IPC-A-620 and J-STD-001 is helpful but not mandatory.
- Strong background in Mechanical inspection
- Computer knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and DISCUS software for AS9102 FAI Inspection.
Physical Demands:
- Light lifting, up to 25 lbs. and the performance of job duties that require sitting down for a long period of time.
- color perception test will be required to ensure that personnel are capable of distinguishing and differentiating colors where color perception is required for product verification/inspection activities
- Must be able to perform repetitive hand movements.
- Employee must be able to work in a fast-paced environment to meet production schedules and quality requirements.
