ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and initiate standards and methods for inspection, testing and evaluation
- Determine sample sizes using established sampling plans (i.e. MIL STD 1916) and generate forms for recording, evaluation and reporting quality and reliability data
- Generate inspection reports and nonconformance reports for defective material per Company procedures
- Measure and test product and tabulate data concerning materials, product or process quality and reliability
- Develop and analyze inspection results and product specifications to determine present standards and effect on quality and reliability expectancy of finished product
- Maintain level II penetrant inspection certification and perform visual weld inspections
- Perform inspection and testing activities to ensure continuous control over materials, facilities and products
- Review quality related procedures and work instructions to ensure compliance to the requirements of ISO and the company’s stated quality policy and objectives
- Maintain quality records to demonstrate conformance to specified requirements and effective operations of the quality system
- Assist in maintaining SPC requirements that may include manual and automated data collection, providing process studies, reports and charts as results require
- Facilitate understanding of the quality systems while working with production employees.
- Ability to read blueprints and related information to verify accuracy of parts produced or fixtures being used to measure and/or gage parts
- Use micrometers, verniers, and other precision instruments to check accuracy of parts being produced
- Use blueprints, contract requirements and other customer requirements to ensure component parts and finished products meet all requirements

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); Two to five years of experience in Quality Manufacturing, experience using gages and calipers, familiarity with production manufacturing and performing quarantines.
