Under general direction of the Deputy Assistant Director, this position is responsible for work of considerable difficulty in planning, coordinating and conducting analysis of licensing processes.
You will coordinate with and support the division's quality control team to maintain and produce quality reports necessary to track progress towards various metrics, including artifacts needed for huddle boards.
You'll also document and update standard work for various division processes. As the Quality Program Specialist, you will coordinate quality assurance/process improvement activities with a focus on improving efficiency, customer service, and quality.
You will also assist leadership team in using continuous quality improvement strategies to improve efficiency of internal processes, including hiring and on-boarding new employees, and off-boarding separating employees.
This position will also support the division's administrative team with business and finance functions, managing the division's fleet of vehicles, and managing the division's facility-related requests. Will assist with high-level support staff functions as needed, and conduct other duties and special projects as assigned.
- Oversee quality/process improvement activities with a focus on improving efficiency, customer service, and quality in all division operations. Collect and analyze data to inform continuous quality improvement; prepare complex statistical and technical reports; document standard work for the division; identify, review, and prepare recommendations for organizational and operational changes relative to management processes.
- Provide high-level administrative support to division leadership, including assisting with on-boarding and off-boarding employees, participating in business and finance functions, and managing vehicle fleet and facility-related processes.
- Coordinate with the quality control team to prepare reports and other artifacts necessary to track the division's key metrics.
Knowledge of:
-Principles and Practices of Administrative supervisory and work management techniques, effective communication skills and interpersonal relations.
- Health care institution statutes, rules and/or regulations pertaining to the licensing of health care institutions.
- Knowledge of application review and licensing and survey processes.
- Adult learning principles and methods for conveying complex information in an understandable manner.
- Enforcement options, and legal requirements related to application process and taking enforcement action against a facility inspected or surveyed.
- Extensive knowledge of quality assessment processes.

Bachelor's degree in a related field with 2 years of experience in Public Health, Environmental Health or closely related field OR 5 years experience with a general understanding of public health principles including licensing regulatory, compliance and inspection procedures may be considered in lieu of a degree.
