Quality Manager / ISO Coordinator
Department: Quality / Continuous Improvement
Reports to: Plant Manager
Job Summary:
Maintain and improve the QMS through statistical and Lean Manufacturing principles.
Essential job functions:
· Coordinating Testing of parts (Functional, Dimensional, Physical properties, etc.)
· Communicates quality standards and parameters to QA team, product development team, and other appropriate staff.
· Coordinating the Complete layouts on parts for PPAP, Problem Solving, etc.
· Create, update, and maintain Quality Documentation, Control Plans, FMEA’s, Flow Charts, Procedures, Gage Calibration, etc.
· Coordinating to Create and submit PPAP’s and enter customer-required documents.
· Serve as a point of contact for internal and external customers.
· Analyze SPC data for process improvement and corrective actions.
· Participate in / Initiate cross-functional teams in the pursuit of problem-solving and mistake-proofing quality problems.
· Identifies and analyzes issues, bugs, defects, and other problems, particularly when problems recur in multiple products; recommends and facilitates solutions to these issues.
· Coordinates product testing processes.
· Complete Capability studies, Gage R&R, Gage Calibration as required.
· Assist in part audits and sort operations as required.
· Facilitates and schedules Management Reviews
· Initiates and or conducts ISO training.
· ISO document control administrator.
· Schedules and follows up with internal and external audits.
· Initiates and tracks internal and external corrective action requests.
· Updates KPI’s for the plant.
· Reviews client, customer, and user feedback.
· Performs all other duties as requested by the Plant Manager
Minimum requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business field with 3-5 years’ experience in quality engineering or the equivalent of combined education and experience.
· Advanced quality planning, PPAP, SPC, MSA, FMEA, control plan, and ISO:2008
· Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group
· situations to supervisors and other employees of the organization.
· Excellent organizational and communication skills.
· Strong leadership abilities
· Competent computer skills.
· A working knowledge of dimensional measuring equipment and layouts
· Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
· Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
·
Excellent attention to detail.
· Ability to make effective decisions, seek to find solutions to problems, work independently and investigate inquiries and respond in a timely manner.
· Excellent customer service skills.
· ISO Lead Auditor.

Must be able to lift a minimum of 35 lbs.

Pay: From $78,000.00 per year
