- Job Title: Quality Liaison
Employer: MS Companies
Shift: 1st Shift (8am - 4pm) [Overtime eligible at 1.5X Pay]
Start Date: As soon as possible, targeting the week of April 22nd.
This role will be supporting OEM Volvo in Charleston SC
Type of Position: Full Time
Hourly Wage: $24.50 usd/hr
Incentives: Benefits package, Overtime available
Summary: Experience with automotive quality assurance is required. The Quality Liaison will be assessing automotive safety systems and components. This includes airbags, seat belts, steering wheels, electronic safety systems, and related parts for vehicles. We are hiring immediately for a Quality Liaison to join our team! Experience managing communication between automotive suppliers / OEMs is necessary for this role. The ideal candidate will have 3-4 years of experience in automotive quality assurance. Candidates with knowledge of 8Ds, 5 Whys and other quality root cause analysis tools will be preferred.
SKILLS REQUIRED:
Ability to alert client team of a quality issue immediately (Phone calls, texts, Emails,
images, etc.) and work with client team to troubleshoot the issue and inform the customer of the resolution.
Strong technical knowledge with appearance and color requirements.
Provide support to customers with quality problems related to client products.
Provide follow-up on Quality issues from the customer’s point of view.
Monitor the clean points sent to the customer for any quality problems.
Act as the direct contact between the customers quality team and the client facility.
Direct the rework process of parts at the customer’s plant (when necessary and
approved by the customer)
Validate rejected parts in customer processes.
Implement problem solving skills as needed.
Knowledge and understanding of customer quality requirements to serve as liaison across
several facilities.
Monitor the cost of poor quality (non-conforming parts) with the customer and communicate to the client team.
Strive to implement continuous improvement initiatives when appropriate.
