Basic Functions:
Act as a liaison between the customer and the Company to resolve issues.
Responsible for evaluating and transacting non-conforming material
To insure compliance with all Company rules/policies/practices
Perform production team member duties as required to support production schedules
Perform visual, efforts, attribute tests and data collection
Maintain visual management boards (bulletin boards, charts, etc.)
Record, report, and help develop counter measures for product quality issues
Adhere to facility, safety, and 5S policies
Develop a thorough understanding of the Quality Assurance Systems and procedures
(Quality Procedures Manual, product line requirement, customer quality manuals,
supplier quality system standards, etc.)
Develop a thorough understanding of product line products, processes, and product
specification. Perform and document such inspection results as designated by the
overall quality plan
Perform incoming inspection functions on purchased production intent materials
Interface with supplier base problem resolution when appropriate to ensure continued
long-term quality improvement
Gather data for periodic reports such as Supplier Performance Rating, scrap, Cost of
Quality and other appropriate reports
Perform Quality Assurance inspection and instrument and gage calibrations in support
of the overall gage control program
Develop a practical understanding of Statistical Process Control (SPC) techniques and
serve as facilitator in assuring proper use of these techniques throughout manufacturing
Conduct and report 5S audits
Audit adherence to work instructions, quality alerts, and control plans
Facilitate problem solving efforts
Input data into computer files and generate outputs
Facilitate defective part disposition
Help to facilitate in supplier development
Check received, in process, and finished parts for conformance to specifications
Recommends modifications of existing quality or production standards to achieve optimum quality within limits of equipment capability.
Capable of analyzing parts at vendor and customer locations to determine disposition of returns.
Investigates quality problems and provides information to both internal and external customers.
Organizes and monitors any inspection and rework operations that may be deemed necessary to provide quality product to the customer.
Applies the preventive action process when potential issues/risks are identified.
Performs sorts of suspect product in house and at the customer.
Monitors engineering change internally.
