Quality Lab Technician

Ellsworth, an industry leading adhesive manufacturer / custom packager of adhesives, currently has a Quality Lab Technician opportunity at KitPackers/ResinLab, located in Germantown, WI.
Quality Lab Technician is responsible for test and inspection of products at various stages of production processes. This employee will compile and evaluate statistical data to determine and maintain quality and reliability of products by performing the following duties.
REQUIREMENTS

• 1+ years of related industrial experience or training in a manufacturing environment preferably from a custom adhesive, chemical, paint manufacturing or liquid packaging/filling environment
• Associate's degree (college or technical) in a related field of study
• Shift 8am to 4:30pm
• To perform this job successfully individuals must be proficient on a personal computer and have knowledge of ERP System (NAVISION), Quality Database (FileMaker Pro), INTELEX Document Management System, Spreadsheet Software and Word Processing Software.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Performs raw material and final product tests for parameters such as viscosity, cure time, cure hardness and physical appearance.
• Responsible for the evaluation of raw materials for cured properties and the retention and organization of production retains.
• Inspect products and production paperwork at various stages during the production process including Final Inspection.
• Drafts Certificates of Analysis, Certificates of Compliance and other documents as directed.
• Assists Quality Management with in-house investigations into nonconforming products for quality problems and causes.
