Summary: Final Inspection of Customer Work after Processing
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Hardness testing of heat-treated parts, utilizing the superficial, standard Rockwell, and Microhardness testing machines.
• Check parts for total and effective case depths.
• Prepare samples for microscope review.
• Performs tests to verify calibration of machines.
• Review Work Order for completeness.
• Must be good with paperwork and attention to detail.
• Reports out of specification work to Supervisor.
• Overtime and weekend work per schedule.

Qualifications, Education & Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Quality Testing – a plus
• Knowledge of Microscopes – a plus
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
• Basic Skills in Microsoft Word and Excel.
