What You Will Do

The Quality Inventory Specialist will oversee systematic micro dispositions, hold and monitor inventories, and prepare related reports. You will work closely with the plant quality team and logistics team to ensure that non-conformances are investigated and reconciled in a timely and efficient manner with an eye towards continuous improvement of the process. The perfect candidate will have experience in food safety and quality systems, high level of organization and great communication skills.

How You Will Make an Impact

  • Be a single point of contact for food safety and food quality non-conformance pallet management
  • Balance timely release and movement of pallets to customer needs with attention to detail of quality investigations and dispositions
  • Develop strong relationships and engage in process improvement between quality and logistics departments
  • Contribute to system development
  • Oversee systematic micro dispositions
  • Monitor pallets through HPP Process
  • Monitoring hold inventories at multiple third-party locations
  • Monitoring hold tag placement and related reports
  • Auditing hold log in QMS for completion and correctness, including reconciling holds with current inventory statuses
  • Assisting hold investigations for FG stored at all local Freshpet sites
  • Continuous improvement of hold process
  • Other duties as assigned

What You Will Bring

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Associate’s Degree preferred or equivalent work related experience
  • 3 years minimum industry experience working in Food Safety/Quality Systems/Document Control
  • PCQI certification (within 6 months of start date)
  • High level of organization and attention to detail
  • High skill in computer work within Quality databases, as well as Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Work, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint)
  • Strong background in MS Dynamics preferred
  • Able to work independently and interdepartmentally
  • Good communication skills with internal or external clients
  • Experience with GFSI food safety program
