Quality Inspector

This position is responsible for measuring and testing products during the manufacturing processes to ensure that products comply with quality standards.

II.Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Inspect components before, during and after production

• Record results to indicate if parts comply with specifications

• Look up, read, and interpret inspection plans on a computer

• Look up, read, and interpret blueprints on a computer

• Use precision instruments, gauges, and machines

• Communicate effectively with coworkers inside and outside of the Quality Department.

III.Working Conditions

• Employee is standing and/or walking 95% of the time

• Employee must be able to lift up to 40 pounds infrequently and up to 25 pounds frequently.

IV.Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Some experience using gauges, calipers, micrometers, pin gauges, etc.

• A keen eye for detail

• Communication skills

• Basic computer literacy

• The ability to consistently identify defects across thousands of inspections.

• The ability to closely follow instructions

V.Education and Training

• High school diploma or GED is required.

• Minimum of 2 years of Deco Products work experience is preferred

• Demonstrated knowledge working with general computer software programs
