SUMMARY OF JOB:
- Responsible for collecting and evaluating clinical data, analyzing data for patterns and trends in care delivery
- Have ability to discover the root causes of specific patient care trends
- Educate staff to promote quality care and minimize patient harm and ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
- Work with Organizational and Quality/Safety leadership and staff to create policies and procedures that ensure quality care and perform follow-up evaluations of data and organizational performance to ensure compliance and consistent, continuous improvement
- Facilitates and supports improvement projects/actions to meet or exceed threshold or compliance when opportunities are identified

RECRUITMENT REQUIREMENTS:
- Registered Nurse with current PA license required
- BSN required
- Minimum of 5 years experience in acute healthcare setting
- Three years of prior experience in Quality Improvement, process improvement, TQM or participation in hospital quality committee preferred
- Thorough knowledge of quality/performance improvement principles
- Experience with facilitating quality and safety assessment and improvement activities preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft office and other PC applications, including Excel
- Proficient in data base management, statistical analysis and report generation
- Interpersonal skills necessary to maintain effective working relationships with employees, physicians, Departmental Directors, Administrators and general public
- Excellent written and verbal skills
