Job description

The Quality Improvement Specialist (QIS) position resides within the KidWell Clinically Integrated Network, Value Based Services Organization (VBSO).  The QIS is responsible for leading and managing multiple quality and process improvement projects, managing, and evaluating performance, identifying trends, and making recommendations for clinical and operational Quality Improvement initiatives and integration.  The QIS role will serve as an in-house process improvement consultant to administrative and clinical leadership of the KidWell Clinically Integrated Network and VBSO.

 

The QIS will manage and prioritize opportunities driving successful performance outcomes in all network contracts by collaborating with leaders and clinicians, planning and initiating interventions, and monitoring the impact of said interventions.  One of the major functions of this position is gathering research and network contract performance data, analyzing the information, drawing conclusions, utilizing the various data tools and platforms to create performance dashboards at the network and the practice level, and making recommendations that drives successful outcomes and improvement.

 

The associate will participate in multi-disciplinary teams to implement proposed Quality Improvement initiatives and interventions to improve child health outcomes that are aligned with KidWell CIN and VBSO priorities.  Finally, the QIS will develop strategies and advise on clinical workflows to position the KidWell Clinically Integrated Network to achieve network and quality-based incentives and metrics.

 

The QIS reports to the Executive Director of the KidWell Clinically Integrated Network.

Qualifications-

Degree in Public Health, Community Health, Health Care Administration, Nursing, related field.  Master's Degree Preferred

RN Licensure Required

5+ years of relevant work experience in provider and healthcare Quality Improvement.
