Form of workWe are looking for an experienced Quality Engineer/Manager to lead a small team of engineers and techs and fill the role of Quality Manager. This is a fast paced, hands-on position that will work with management and directly with the production floor and engineering to make sure quality is built in from the start and add value to our production process.
We are a fabrication and machining company doing contract manufacturing for a wide array of industrial customers serving approximately 75 customers.
A qualified Quality Engineer/Manager will have:
- Experience or training in quality or engineering with fabrication and/or machining
- Experience or training in continuous improvement
- Understanding of automotive PPAP requirements
- The ability to be proactive in developing processes and systems to build the quality in
- Good leadership skills and the capacity to supervise/mentor engineers, inspectors & operators
- A strong metrology and gage control background
- The ability to manage ISO 9001-2015 Internal and External audits
- Knowledge of GD&T tolerancing
- Knowledge of print reading and creating inspection sheets
