About this Role:

As the Quality Food Safety Coordinator (QFS Coordinator), you’ll be responsible for supporting key Food Safety and Quality Systems Management Programs with emphasis on Farmer’s Fridge’s approved supplier program and cold chain management. You will partner closely with both the procurement and distribution teams to provide technical support for the resolution to issues related to product quality and Food Safety. You’ll work in tandem with the Food Safety and Compliance Manager to continuously improve key programs.

What You’ll Do:

• Manage Cold Chain Program: support Food Safety throughout Farmer’s Fridge storage and distribution supply chain
• Supplier Approval Program: lead approvals and ongoing verification of raw material suppliers
• Lead and develop Quality & Food Safety training programs 
• Conducts internal Farmer's Fridge supplier Food Safety and verification audits 
• Regulatory support for Department of Health inspections

What are we looking for in a QFS Coordinator?

• Strong computer skills in Google Suites or Microsoft Office for collecting and analyzing data in addition to developing and maintaining procedures, reports, and presentations.
• Preferred minimum of 4 years of experience in food manufacturing or Food Safety or other highly regulated manufacturing industries; knowledge in distribution and cold chain highly desired.
• General knowledge and understanding of food microbiology, regulatory compliance, HACCP, allergen control, GMP/GWP, pest control, and sanitation. 
• Ideally, SQF is trained and certified with present knowledge. Must be able to develop and maintain and implement SQF and regulatory certification requirements, documents, and keep up SQF regulatory criteria.
• HACCP and FSPCA Preventive Controls Trained and Certified (PCQI).
• Strong continuous improvement knowledge.
• Decision quality: demonstrate skill in judgment and sound decision-making.
