Superior Metals Manufacturing is looking for a Quality Engineering Technician on 1st Shift Monday - Friday. Positions starts @ $25.09 per hour.
Position Overview:
Primary maintenance and monitoring of the Documentation Control & Training Tracking processes utilizing QT9 software. Monitoring and reporting of Internal Audits, Supplier Status, Quality Alert system, and other key Control Functions. Assists Quality Engineering in the management of Material Review Board (MRB) Materials, Incoming Raw Material Release, and Shipping Checklist Review. Assists Quality Manager in the management of Corrective Actions, Contract Review, Specification Control, & Purchase Order Preparation.
Essential Job Functions:

• Review, editing, and in some cases preparation of Quality Management System (QMS) documents.
• Monitoring of document creation and revision submissions, and management of approval process.
• Maintenance of Job Title and QMS document linkages and monitoring of employee document review status.
• Assisting Quality Engineers in preparing and reviewing purchase orders as needed.
• Assisting Quality Engineers with internal MRB coordination and activities, and with external submissions through the use of customer web-based systems and portals.
• Monitoring of and progress report preparation and presentation for Corrective Actions.
• Monitoring of Quality Alert system.
• Assisting in the management of the internal audit processes.
• General understanding of and assistance in managing Customer and industry specifications.
• Assisting the Purchasing team in the monitoring of Supplier performance and status.
• Assisting Quality Engineers in maintaining MRB records and materials.
• Daily involvement in activities such as shipping checklist review, contract review, maintenance of product master list(s).
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
• Adherence to all safety polices, practices, and procedures.
• Strong and accurate data entry skills required.
• Responsible for adherence to all safety policies, practices and procedures
• Ability to work overtime

Education:

• Associates Degree or appropriate relevant industry experience. High school Diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience: Prior Quality Function and Documentation Control experience strongly preferred.
• Certifications/Licenses: None
• Other Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Familiarity with internal and external quality requirements.
  • General understanding of customer specifications.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft (MS) Office Outlook, Word, and Excel required.
  • Familiarity Adobe Acrobat Pro preferred.
  • Familiarity with QT9 or other Quality Management System software packages is desirable.
  • Familarity with Oracle or other ERP system is desirable.
