Summary
This position has the responsibility to assist in the implementation and maintenance of quality systems to support manufacture of products and processes, and the reduction of manufacturing scrap. Responsibility also includes quality systems maintenance including: “best known method” (BKM) utilization; use of SQC; product and process verification, and manufacturing while ensuring compliance to Quality Management Systems.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with Quality and Manufacturing Engineering personnel on the implementation and maintenance effective SPC practices to monitor, stabilize and improve the manufacturing process and maintaining specification sheets for RMs, IMs, and FPs.
- Assist in documentation updates to ensure all the health of the Quality Management System.
- Drive reduction in scrap by identifying trends in product and process data identified in the weekly trend review.
- Assist in completing customer required documentation.
- Compile and analyze data and assist in the production of data packages for change control and customer notifications.
- Complete other duties as requested.
- Participate in Brewer Science’s Intern Program activities
Credentials and Education
- In pursuit of Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Engineering Management (Chemical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or Materials Science)
- Completed statistics courses
- Strong attention to detail
- Self-motivated
- Equivalent combination of education and related experience
