Overview
General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems, a premier provider of ordnance weapons and tactical systems to the U.S. Department of Defense and allied nations, is seeking a Quality Engineer 1 to join our Saco Operations team. We are about supporting the mission of the warfighter. Our products can be found with every U.S. Military branch with allies around the world. We are looking for motivated and creative individuals who want to help shape and support this organization.
Responsibilities

• The Quality Engineer is responsible for helping to execute a strategic plan to improve business processes by increasing throughput and decreasing risk.
• Assembles document packages for customer review
• Leads and supports RCCA investigations, internal audits and external audits
• Leads and supports various continuous improvement initiatives
• Manages priorities in order to support current and future quality control and production needs
• Special projects and other duties as assigned.
• Initiates and supports development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives to reduce process variation and prevent defects and/or non-compliance.
• Supports integrated product/process teams
• All employees are expected to be in compliance with government and corporate laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.

Qualifications
Bachelors degree in related field of study - Engineering degree
0-4 years of applicable experience
Preferred: ASQ Certifications: Quality Engineer, Six Sigma Black Belt, and/or Quality Auditor
