Role and Responsibilities
- Operate as an extension of the Quality Engineering Group.
- Perform Quality Control inspections across all stages of production operations.
- Partner with operations, engineering, and maintenance to accelerate product or process issue resolution; effectively apply problem solving methodologies.
- Participate in product and process nonconformance investigations/ RCCA activities.
- Scrutinize inspection and testing results, promptly escalate product conformance issues.
- Evaluate daily performance data and author quality reports, noting all relevant deviations from existing standards.
- Coauthor Quality Control standards, process controls, and inspection/ test methods.
- Maintain Quality Control equipment calibration records.
- Recognize and promote opportunities for continuous improvements.
- Perform other additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- High School Diploma; however, a degree in a technical, engineering, or relevant field is preferable
- Previous work experience as a Quality Control Technician or similar role preferred.
- Preferred experience implementing a Quality Management System (QMS), and inspection and test methodologies.
- Comprehensive understanding of document control systems.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced organizational skills.
- Experience drafting reports and collating data.
- Ability to work a 12-hour pitman schedule (3-2-2-3).
- Ability to stand for up to 12 hours.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Previous quality assurance certifications a plus.
